i honestly wouldn't mind if classic thrash bands were the "new wave of thrash" of the next few years because the albums most bands have been releasing recently are just as good as their older shit. some of it is even better. bands like Overkill, Exodus, and Death Angel are in their second prime.

oh, and the Big 4 itself is falling apart, which isn't something i thought i'd see! Metallica's not thrash anymore (although i do have HOPE for a possible return to thrash), Slayer has broken up, and Megadeth's recent output has been...eh, not very good. the only Big 4 band in good standing atm is Anthrax, and while i love the band, they've always been seen as the weakest link, and the rest of the Big 4 is totally down for the count. quote me on that.
