What a massive band to stumble onto! you have 30 years to catch up on. Enjoy.

That's cool! Did you start off with the more recent material or the earlier material? I like all of their recordings up to Blood Mantra.

While Cancer Culture isn't as good as their early material the album/track title is one of the best things metal has done. 🤘 Glad to see the spirit of anti-government/culture is still with us.

You are right, there are a ton more bands doing more over the top TechDeath. That's exactly what I am loving about the past few Decapitated albums, as they've stepped away from sheer technicality, in favor of a more accessible straight forward riffs, groove, and hooks. I personally find it refreshing.

I agreed with you for the longest time, but after listening to Carnival Is Forever a few hundred times, it became my favorite.

The bullshit with their music being unavailable for literal years is what got me into buying and downloading music again.

Winds of Creation is damn sick, man. Brutally insane, just the way the death metal should be.

There are better things in life than wasting time for searching and testing proper scrobbler, which works fine with my smartphone (pano scrobbler does not...). Additionally 3 bucks per month is laughable amount (you can pay more for one bottle of fine craft beer) and I support the service, which I use since over 15 years, so the answer is pretty clear.

Their top tracks here are going to be permanently fucked up since their best albums are no longer on Spotify, and that's the primary service most people use for their last.fm scrobbles. Years from now when people discover this band and are looking for their best songs, they're going to think this band isn't that great, because the "best songs" they see will be from their worst albums. Stuff like Spheres of Madness and Blessed will be way down the list, leading people to think they aren't that great. Screw you Earache, I would even buy the physical CD if doing so didn't support your asshole record label

Crap - no, groove - yep. And it's the best thing that have ever happened to them.

Can't believe the quality level of their stuff since Carnival is Forever. The old stuff is great but they're really knocking it out of the park right now.

Their Earache stuff is currently missing from Spotify, is this because of the allegedly unpaid royalties? Last mention of this feud is more than two years old now. Usually albums disappear and then come back because of labels changing distributors/expired contracts like Nuclear Blast earlier this year, but none other Earache albums are missing as far as I know

Saw them last night at Mammothfest, first UK show since everything, the only thing that got raped were my ear drums and the only thing that they kidnapped were our hearts.

Saw them again last week, they played old shit too, Post Organic, Day 69, Spheres obviously and Winds of Creation which is a sign that the next album will be more like the older albums and they'll be playing a lot more of the really great stuff in the future
