Well, I don't think that just because one band predates another band necessarily means that that band can't draw influences from a younger band (if that's what you were getting at). Deep Forest, Enigma, and Delerium do sound similar at times, but all three have very distinct sounds to me. Delerium sounded totally different way back when and has probably evolved the most drastic out of all three groups. Deep Forest always world beat/ambient from their debut album (1992), and I do believe that Delerium got some influence from them, even though they've been around since the 80s but this album was released two years after Deep Forest's eponymous debut. Just my thoughts. :)

Yeah. "Flowers Become Screens" does sound very Enigma-ish. Also, did anyone else notice the total sampling of Deep Forest in this album? :)

"Flowers Become Screens"......could easily have been an Enigma song. Alot of their elements can be attributed to an apparent admiration of the work of Michael Cretu.

So, what name was better than that? Intermix? Also a big change, but yet again not so drastical, IMO. Delerium just found the right way to continue with music development, without this album there wouldn't be Karma or any later album. Maybe it was a shock back then, but it was one of the greatest.
