According to the My Wicked Heart Songfacts, the song is about sexual attraction. Vickers explained to Digital Spy: "It's all about when you're really, really attracted to somebody and you really, really want them and just fancy the pants off them. Even if you know that they're with somebody else or you're with somebody else, when they're around it's just like 'Ahh!' and you just wanna have them. It brings out this wicked side in you."
Little Diana Vickers from Blackburn showed a rather more grown-up side with her saucy single 'My Wicked Heart'. Following the No.1 smash 'Once' and 'The Boy Who Murdered Love', the single reached No.13 in the UK chart in October 2010.
