I distinctly remember this CD cover from my early teens when I first started discovering music. Everyone's cool older brother had this one, and Nevermind. They're equally iconic to me.

Really good record. Not that I dislike their other stuff, but I think this one benefits from being the product of a full band. It just gives the songs more of an "authentic" sound, to use a pretentious critic type word. These mid-period albums aren't quite as great as the early SST stuff overall and in terms of songwriting, but my god does J give us some beautiful guitar work on everything from the 90s.

Additional comments: Dino's best 90s album, and of their whole discography, the album most inspired by classic rock.

This is definitely a great guitar album. I think it might be my favorite Dino album, actually. Very solid all the way through.
