I like Pallbearer as well. But anyways, after listening to the new Dream Unending at least 10 times I am totally in peace with it right now. I still miss some of the "dirt" you could find in the first album, this one is just plain beauty. The last 2 minutes are glorious, though.

Carai, curti pra cacete esse disco. Me pegou desprevenido, achei que seria algo totalmente diferente.

How can something heavy sound so soft at the same time? It's like being beaten to death by pillows. Really great album. Not as good as Foreverglade IMO but still pushing death/doom in some interesting directions whilst bringing back the gloomy sadness of early doom legends as well.

I feel like some people had the same problem with the new Worm album but aren't really seeing the bigger picture. Both Foreverglade and Tide Turns Eternal are aiming to create a wider expanse for the death/doom genre that isn't just "slow and brutal", it's introspective, darkly dreamy and at times even beautiful. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, though; I don't like blackgaze stuff at all but I can still see its merits and I'm happy that it exists. Boundaries are there to be pushed.
