2) Kate Lesta was raised in the theater by a creative entrepreneur from Manchester, England who relocated to Boulder, Colorado. Lesta has been producing electronic music and new media events since the age of 16, facilitating hundreds events in Colorado, Washington State, Oregon, New York City, Montreal, and Belgrade.
Lesta is driven by a passion for participatory systems, education reform, and creative environments as a vehicle for personal growth and community building. She is a founding member of Communikey and the International Cities of Advanced Sound network (I.C.A.S.) She resides in Boulder Colorado, where she produces the annual Communikey Festival of Electronic Arts. She also DJs under the name Ductape!
