Here, the two Odd Future members reflect on sour relationships, drug use, and their lives in Los Angeles, over a mellow beat, co-produced by both of them. It also features Frank detailing what happened in the altercation between him and Chris Brown, which happened on a Sunday, which is where the track derives it’s name from.
This isn’t the first time these two have collaborated, as Earl joined Frank on his 2013 track “Super Rich Kids,” for his debut project channel ORANGE.
In a 2013 interview on NPR, Earl said:
“Sunday” was the best I think I made. I just laid those chords down first and then the drums. Originally I made both parts of that beat as two separate beats, and then I was like: “Uh, this shit would be very tight together.” Then I kinda formatted the beat around the idea I had for the verse. The first part of the beats sounds like I was making it for Lil B, if you listen to the first part of the beat it makes so much sense.
just seems the one that would fit best on that song. My man came through with a wild verse.
