Thoroughly enjoyed this album. Loved their debut, but the addition of synths here was a brilliant step forward. Bonus tracks are solid, too.

It needed to grow on me as well, but I think it was not a bad idea going in a different direction. loving the 5 bonus tracks, I almost expected them to be that good lol. From the regular album "Bricks And Mortar" and "Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool" are outstanding, but the others getting better n better...

I guess most Editors fans don't really listen to the overall post-punk style of music much?? Because this last album just sounds like their earlier stuff, but more 70's/early 80's OMD/Human League/Section 25/Fad Gadget/etc. influenced than their older Chameleons/Echo and the Bunnymen/The Church/The Sound/etc influenced material. It's still Post-Punk revival, just in a different direction. I think it sounds pretty cool so far. That first track would have been right at home on Wire's "154".

This album was a very nice change of pace. Not that they needed a change, but I really enjoyed the new direction. I can see why many don't like it though, if you dont really like electronic music its probably not a direction you would enjoy.

I absolutely didn't like this album at first. I now find myself wanting to listen to it everyday. Wow.

I find this album very Editors. Different in first touch, but it`s still what I like in their music. splendid music!

I love this album more than the others. I have a penchant for moody, electronic music, so I love that Editors went in this direction :)

This album is an instant classic with its raw, cold, echoing sounds, weary urban melancholy and electrifying beats. A solid combination of good and mind-blowingly amazing (like In This Light and on This Evening, Papillon, The Boxer, Like Treasure...) songs. I fucking love it. At the moment, it's my favourite album from a great band.
