Born in Turin (Italy) is Graduated in double bass and composition in italy and in the Hoch Schule für musik in Vienna under the guide of L.Streicher for D.bass Edgar Österreicher for Conduction and Claude Vivier for the composition.

Acclaimed from 1989 as one of the rare doublebass concertist, he has solo performed around the world in many tours in Europe, USA, Mexico, Colombia, Perù, Japan, Brasil, Argentina for the most renommed music festivals and auditoriums like: Ircam (Paris), Palais des beaux arts (Belgium), Auesperger, Musikverein, Innsbruck sommer (Austria), Festival Strings Lucerne, RTSI Lugano (Switzerland) Unione Musicale, Maggio Fiorentino, Tempo D'orchestra, Milano classica, Teatro Manzoni, Teatro Regio di Torino, Fondazione Scelsi, RAI, Parco della Musica di Roma, Festival of chamber Music on Cervo, Time Zones, Palermo Tutta, Palacio de las bellas artes, Netzahualcyotl, Filarmonica Mexicana, National Simphony Orchestra, Pro Arte Messico (Mexico), Melbourne art festival (Australia), Ars Vivendi (Japan), Philarmonic society of Lima (Perù), Carnegie hall, (USA), Filarmonic society of Bogotà (Colombia), Teatro Colon Buenos Aires (Argentina) and many others.

Italian Music Award as Best musician and composer 2003, as composer he as write for D.Bass, for orchestra, Operas, film scores (Academy awards nomination in 2004), music theater, committed by the most importants theater, opera house and film directors in Italy and Europe like Teatro Regio di Torino, Santa Cecilia, Arena di Verona, Gabriele Salvatores (Oscar 1996), Peter Greenway and constantly compared with names like Philip Glass and Terry riley.

The instrument he plays was made by the famous musical lutetmaker C.G.Testore 1721 the same lutemaker of the Bottesini's Double bass.
