This is the first song in years that, upon discovery, I've replayed - back-to-back - non-stop for the remainder of the night. Obviously, this awesome song's 'baby-daddy' is R.E.M.'s "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)." What may be less obvious... Faded Paper Figures' "Not the End of the World (Even As We Know It)" has - if my genealogy is accurate - a well-known uncle: Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire." And the fame connections do not end with Uncle Bill; "Not the End..." also happens to be the grandchild of 70s AM-radio hit, "Life Is a Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)" by Reunion. Even a cursory listen to these "relative" songs will reveal the family resemblance.
