Magnified is the second studio album by the American rock band Failure. Magnified differs greatly from Failure's debut album Comfort by using a great deal of bass guitar distortion. In fact this is their only album, and one of only few rock albums in general, where most songs are defined by the bassline instead of the guitar work making it rather unique. Their use of a bassline as the main structure to the song as well as distortion can be heard best on "Frogs" and "Wonderful Life". Harmonics are also used extensively and can be heard quite prominently on the songs "Moth", "Wonderful Life" and "Empty Friend". All music composed by Andrews/Edwards, except where noted. Recorded by Paul Lani. Mixed by David Bianco and Ken Andrews. Frog: Bruce Schwartz
