Biography

Filip Baloš (Novi Sad, March 18, 2001) is a Serbian singer-songwriter.

Baloš comes from a musical and dramatic family. At the age of four, he began to show his love for painting and music. As a boy, he participated in various music festivals.

In 2016, he entered the high school for design "Bogdan Šuput". He was part of various group exhibitions and painting colonies. In 2020, after finishing high school, Filip enrolled in the first year of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, department of painting. Since October 2022, he has been a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.

He cites Lady Gaga, Charlie Puth and Phineas as his musical role models. Among local authors and performers, Bojana Vunturišević and Sara Jo stand out.

In 2019, he won the title of radio star. The task was for all participants to record themselves singing a song of their choice. Filip recorded himself singing the song Breathing by Ariana Grande. The commission of that radio, made up of music regulars, rated his work as the best. As the winner, he recorded the song Pomereno.

In 2022 he recorded a cover of Konstraka's song Meccano with the Zemlja Gruva team, after they heard him singing on social media and invited him to record his version of the song in their studio. Praised and praised by Kim Petras.

On 9 January 2023, it was revealed that he would be competing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song Novi Plan Drugi San, and on 27 January he performed in the first semi-final. Filip did the lyrics, music and arrangement. Filip found the inspiration for the song, which he submitted for the competition, in his brother who suffered because of a breakup, but very quickly rose from the situation and continued to make new plans and set other goals. As he says, the song is motivational and can relate to other situations in life. The performance at the competition was done with Kosta Musu, who in 2022 did Konstrakta's performance. Filip qualified for the final as 4th in the first semi-final. In the final, he finished in third place in the jury's vote (8 points), fourth in the audience's vote (7 points) and finished in 4th place overall (15 points).
