Biography

Forfun was a brazilian band, natural from Rio de Janeiro that took place from '2001' to '2015'. Originally formed by 4 members - Danilo Cutrim "Danilinho" (vocals, guitar), Rodrigo Costa (vocals, bass), Vitor Isensee (former guitar, synths) and Nicholas Christ (drums). Its genre is undefined, but the band have traces of , , and .

Their debut album 'Teoria Dinâmica Gastativa' from 2004 have had successful songs such as 'História de Verão', 'Good Trip', and 'Hidropônica', hits among teen audience in Brazil with their pop-punk/hardcore. Their massive appearence on MTV Brazil always peaking the audience led a moment where the band emerged a scene from Rio de Janeiro again, with a lot of gigs sharing the stage with Darvin, Dibob, Ramirez and later all over Brazil with bands like Fresno, NX Zero and others.
Their 2008's second album 'Polisenso' represents a change in the band's perspective, now leaning towards genres like and , with the outstanding use of synths by former guitarist Vitor Isensee. Songs like 'Sol ou Chuva', 'Gruvi Quântico', 'Sigo o Som' and 'Cigarras' represents this turning point, mostly in the bands' musicality but in the lyrics too.
In 2011, they released 'Alegria Compartilhada", consolidating the view of music and lyrics the band came to. A very convidative visual identity, now coloured, attached to carnival costumes and very rythmic drumming and percussion. The acceptation of a great part of the public put again the band to a lot of important gigs around Brazil (even that the band never stopped playing big tours). 'Largo dos Leões' became a hit, and 'Alegria Compartilhada', 'Cosmic Jesus' with the great participation of Black Alien, 'Quem Vai, Vai' brought a lot of success to this album.
In 2013, with almost the lights off, they release the EP Solto, with 3 songs, including a featuring with Hélio Bentes from the reggae band Ponto de Equilíbrio in 'Malícia'.
The next year, Forfun releases 'Nu', an album with less colours than its predecessor. Although it continues with the bands' influences from Polisenso and Alegria Compartilhada, the lyrics and some kind of the arrangements seems more introspective, trying to talk a lot more with the own members of the band, and the listener public to get identified by those. 'Mariá', 'O Baile Não Vai Morrer' (in this, a flirt with ), 'A Vida Me Chamou' appears as great songs and a beautiful keepwork of the bands' art.

In June 9th, 2015, the band announces the end of their road. 14 years later than the first demo, the band dissolves and each member must keep into another music project, since their allegued "We started to have different ideas. But we love each other too much, Forfun is an entity". The band leaves a great legacy of 5 releases and more than 60 songs that flirts with most of genres in popular music.

Earlier 2016, former Forfun members Vitor Isensee, Nicolas Christ and Danilo Cutrim announced their new project called BRAZA.
Former bass player Rodrigo Costa started his own career and side projects like Carranca and Tivoli.
