'Io non abito al mare' (English: I Don't Live By the Sea) is the second single from Italian singer-songwriter Francesca Michielin's third studio album '2640'. It was written by Francesca Michielin and Calcutta.
It released on 17 November 2017, although it was sent to a selection of Italian radio stations a few days earlier. A music video was released on 20 November to Francesca Michielin's official YouTube channel. As of June 2018, it has over 16 million views. It was directed by Giacomo Triglia and filmed at Cretto di Burri in Sicily.
The track entered the Italian singles chart at number 43 in November 2017, outpeaking it's predecessor 'Vulcano'. It spent 18 weeks on the chart and peaked at number 15 in January 2018.
The song was certified gold in Italy by FIMI in January 2018 and platinum in June 2018.
