When I was 14 I went to a vinyl records event looking for this album. The seller just got very impressed how I was interessed by this album and ask me about, for be sure that wasan't a mistake, I just talked about FZ story and he just GAVE me this LP. This album is fucking special for me. Total respect FZ.

For Over-Nite Sensation, Tina Turner, Linda Sims, and Debbie Wilson appear on the songs “I’m The Slime,” “Dirty Love,” “Zomby Woof,” “Dinah-Moe Humm,” and “Montana.” You can hear them on Apostrophe on the songs “Cosmik Debris” and “Uncle Remus.” | https://www.denofgeek.com/culture/tina-turner-frank-zappa-apple-tv/

Anyone know why the tracklist has tracks 3 and 8 swapped? Every time I scrobble this from vinyl or from my DAP it scrobbles out of order and its fucking annoying

I don't think it would even make my top fifteen (if we're including Mothers albums). Good, though.

I'd say this album defines the word 'faultless'; as in every track is great. I'd say Hot Rats is more enjoyable but this album is probably the most "perfect" album Zappa did on his own.

It starts out with an Eskimo defending a baby seal from a fur trapper, goes to a church's pancake breakfast, a duel with a "mystery man" (wizard?), a commentary on racism, then ends with a song about smelly feet. Perfect.
