Frankie Cosmos’ cover of Lomelda’s “Slide” comes from New York indie label Double Double Whammy celebrating its 10th anniversary with "10 Years of Double Double Whammy", a compilation that features artists from the label covering each other’s songs. The compilation album released on November 12, 2021.
“I’m a huge fan of Lomelda,” Frankie Cosmos’ Greta Kline said in a statement. “Hannah ’s singing is inimitable, but she creates melodies that I always want to sing. I chose to cover ‘Slide’ because it’s my favorite kind of song: short in length, while covering a lot of emotional ground.”
