Frei.Wild (english: Free.Wild) is a Deutschrock group from South Tyrol, Italy.
They originally started as a Böhse Onkelz cover brand, but now write original music.
Having earned multiple gold and platinum records, they are one of the most successful bands of their genre. In 2016, they won the Echo Award for Best National Rock/Alternative Group.
Frei.Wild has faced much criticism over the past involvement of their singer Philipp Burger in the RAC band Kaiserjäger between 2000 and 2001. However, the band has denied having any political leaning and spoke out against xenophobia. Burger expresses regret over his past, calling it a youth folly. With their 2023 single Nie wieder (english: Never again), Frei.Wild positioned themselves against antisemitic riots in response to the Israel-Gaza conflict.
