If I didn't know it's wrong I believed that the Metal genre was named after this song, because of the intro riff that has many characteristics of a metal riff. And the 80s aesthetic is also ahead of the curve

Got to see Gary Numan in Chicago last October. Played Pleasure Principle start to finish. Imagine how incredible that was! Certainly one of the greatest performances by anyone I have ever witnessed.

I got the version with the erie intro, which, in my opinion, was the best version of that song ever recorded. My second favorite would be the cover done by Nine Inch Nails.
