The title track and Utopia are special songs. My dad used to play this album a lot when I was a kid. I can really appreciate it even more now considering what Moroder accomplished with limited technology by today's standards. I do think he is a little underappreciated and DOES get rather unfairly dwarfed by Kraftwerk...

Ok, I'm seriously appalled by this album. This is the true precursor to electronic dance. Kraftwerk and the other kraut masters had the idea first, but Moroder had the style, the form, (dare I say, It's the first mix ever!). the sound, and first and foremost he made music to make people dance, something those artsy germans never aimed to achieve intentionally.

Giorgio is the godfather of house & dance music, and in From Here to Eternity, you can hear traces of both the Donna Summer songs he produced, and also evidence of influence on album like Homework by Daft Punk.
