Deliverance needs more plays. What a fucking gloomy, dark, depressive record. Honestly, Duke might be one of my favorite keyboardists.

I love the atmosphere of it, overall it is a vast improvement from The End Of The World sound wise but his song writing declined, I never return to most songs on the album or listen to entire album as a background music. Amazing riffs and electronic parts here and there but not enough to justify a 50 minute listen

Excellent medieval black metal, one of the best gems of the underground in the genre.

Yeah Deliverance is more electronic metal than black metal but has quite a desperate atmosphere. And some tracks just totally fucking rock, such as the first one "Nothing Is Sacred" that completely blew me away the first time I heard it, and "At Dusk". But I think I like the End of the World a little bit more. By the way, the man behind the project isn't dead, he started a new project in 2003 called Milligramme, which is electronic music more dance-oriented, that seems to be quite interesting but clearly not as Godkiller. He was supposed to do a follow up to Deliverance, though, and the album was supposed to be already half-done by 2006...

Well, I finally managed to hear Deliverance, and it's a great album. It's not really black metal at all, but it has more of a "black metal atmosphere" to it than most bands nowadays. I'd compare it to Beherit's Electric Doom synthesis, not necessarily for its sound, but for the space it occupies in Godkiller's discography.

Awesome band. Love the early BM sound, and The End of the World is a depressive masterpiece!

those willing to tread outside the traditional BM-paths, be sure to give Deliverance a chance... this album achieves what was tried with The End of the World
