It's been over a year and my thoughts on it haven't really changed. It's still mostly ok to me (fuck Bad Bunny tho)

On first listen everything felt off, I cut it off early because I was not in the mood. Picked it up where I left off a week later... Then played it again from the beginning again. The first two tracks are awesome, I love when the Stevie Nicks vocals show up in Oil. Tormenta and Skinny Ape are getting some negative comments I think but I actually like the slowed tempo of Tormenta and the energy of Skinny Ape. Still, I am always expecting Gorillaz to have the consistency of the self-titled and Demon Days albums. It's so difficult to match the bars that were set so high... this CD is OK though!

New Gold is probably my favorite song on this album. It's a fine album, but it is a bit more downtempo than expected.

terrible soz... i get people think gorillaz fans just want the smae album over and over which seems the case for a few who hate it but. this is absolutely terrible, the collabs have no effort put into them and just. arent good, and all of the songs other than cracker island arent even danceable like it sounds like anything else ud hear which is what gorillaz were against in the first place. also what the fuck is skinny ape

Honestly, do people actually like Gorillaz, or do they only like the people they collaborate with? I'm really happy they eased up on all the features, it's easily their most cohesive album since Demon Days, everything since then has sounded like random songs with random people made into a compilation.

It’s nice, but boring. The sounds seem to mesh & flow together & it just feels repetitive & not very experimental. I think Cracker Island & Tormenta are the standouts, which is a shame since I was hyped about Steve Nicks’ feature. I’m still tuning in for the next round of Gorillaz lore tho.

Very solid. Not shit but nothing special either. I can definitely see it growing on people in the future like Humanz.

ICL the only songs on it I enjoyed are Skinny Ape and Cracker Island. Possession Island was neat too but the albums just... not it

Do you all remember how much hate Plastic Beach got, for like 3 years, after it released...?

Call me crazy, but I actually LIKE when bands don't make the same album twice.

And then everyone catches onto one or two songs and it goes through the same process. People just want more feel good inc and won’t admit it
