This band just gets better with every release, one of the most consistent death metal acts out there

Wonderful. This album really captures the anxiety and controlled chaos of Vile Luxury, but there are still songs here. There's technicality and showmanship to be sure, but with a purpose here whereas I sometimes felt it lead to meandering on Alphaville. Guest appearances by Kenny G, Snake and of course Yoshiko only add rather than distract from the whole duality of man/excess thing this band's going for.
