I remember this album being a hit with people in the "guitar players" created chatroom in Arts and Entertainment. I remember chatting with people there around 1999-2000. I might have listened to a sample from something off this album, I don't remember. I got this album in its entirety around 2012.

I remember discovering this in 2004 and yeah, a huge hit with all the guitars players I knew. I always felt there was better melodic riffing from bands like Intestine Baalism but I still find this good, in the way I find cereal good, you know? Lunar Strain is great too imo

Those were the days, man. I discovered a LOT of music via those music chatrooms.

Yes, that's how I found out about Yngwie Malmsteen. I found out about him through "guitar players" I also found out about some other guitar music artists in that chatroom as well.

yes, that one too. they had a lapse in taste in the late 90's... but then when aesthetics improved, the music did the opposite.

The only song from this album that was on that EP is Gyroscope. This is my second favorite album behind Colony.

The Jester Race is better in every way, but this is simply more fun to listen to. Definitely their second best.

Might be my favorite In Flames album...feels less folky than The Jester Race and more straight-ahead, but the songwriting is near perfect.
