JARV IS… is a six-piece band formed by lead singer and songwriter Jarvis Cocker in 2017/18. Initially formed as a live act the band began releasing music in 2019. Their debut album Beyond The Pale was released in July 2020 and was preceded by physical singles for Must I Evolve? and House Music All Night Long. The album marked a major return for Cocker after a decade of projects such as a reunion of his seminal group Pulp (2011-2013), and a collaborative concept LP (Room 29) with Chilly Gonzales (2017).
In 2022 JARV IS… released This Is Going To Hurt, a soundtrack album which accompanied the BBC comedy drama series of the same name written by Adam Kay.
