Jimi was a genious, few understand this; in the concept album I was referring to in the first commend, this is the religious part; this is literally a continituation of the opening track (buddhism tied in).

This is Jimi and drummer Mitch jamming and peaking. Jimi also plays bass as Noel is down the pub. Chris Wood from Traffic plays flute. Eddie Kramer's studio engineering is state-of-the-art for 1968. What a trip.

Brilliant anti-war song.... <3 "Before our heads go under we take a last look at the killing noise Of the out of style, the out of style, out of style(oooh)..." -- Still one of my all time favorite Hendrix songs. <3

Jimi's finest hour, along with Voodoo Chile, which I found deliriously scary the first time I heard it aged about 13. Is there any truth in the rumour that the original Experience was going to be a 4-piece with the inclusion of Randy California? I think I heard this once, and that Randy couldn't come to the UK as he was underage at the time. That could have been a great band, except of course it would have changed the whole dynamic of the band with 2 guitars out front. I think Randy would have totally dug playing on tracks like this one. RIP Jimi and Randy

I absolutely agree! Such a shame these tracks don't nearly get the amount of praise they deserve...
