The third single off Glory Sound Prep involves Jon reflecting on his life. “Stupid Deep” sees him questioning if the driving force behind his accomplishments is the hole in his heart, a heart to him that feels bottomless. Jon wonders if the things he hopes for are the very things he may already have.

“Once that first stanza was written, I was like, there’s nothing else for me to say. In the behind the scenes video, I’m just looking at these lyrics, like, “Yo, is this my life? Has everything I’ve ever done been because I have a giant gap in my heart that I need attention and love from people?” Like, damn, it’s seems like such a simple equation, but is that what everybody’s doing? If we just threw that down and said hello to people… I know people feel this way, but they don’t wanna talk about it. We’re too busy. We don’t have a moment, and the second we do have a moment? We have to go do something else ‘cause we don’t even like ourselves. We’re not taking the time to be like, “How are you? How are you doing?” We just don’t wanna do it. My heart hurts, too. I want people to love me, too, and sometimes I don’t feel that love. I get self conscious, I get this, I get that, but we don’t take the time to explain that to people.“ - via A-List Pop Live
