On “Sometimes”, Juice WRLD sings about his thoughts within his mind and the struggles that have stemmed from his substance abuse.
The track was recorded on Juice’s twentieth birthday, on December 2, 2018, and previewed two days later via Instagram. The song leaked in its entirety on January 29, 2020, and was officially released on March 18, 2022 alongside the digital deluxe edition of Juice’s fourth studio album Fighting Demons, after Lil Bibby stated that he would release the track if the music video for the February 2022 song Cigarettes reached one million views in twenty-four hours, which it did.
