minimal sensitive cello play with (in some way) hypnotic loops, such a delightful discovery.. nowadays it's hard to find something for reading. sad but true.

Hmm... I understand your reaction Siberiandreamer when I read what I wrote again. I should have been more accurate so I apologize. You may forget about the righter of wrongs role. I don't dismiss post-rock, but I'd gladly slap around trolls like the below "clearly post-rock" comment without any explanation. I see too many comments/fights about categories rather than about the music itself... So let's talk about her ! I found Julia's solo project thanks to a great band she was part of : Rasputina. Incidentally, does anybody know of something similar to Julia Kent's music ?

I love post rock, and I absolutely love Julia Kent's music. You're right that it has become an overused and over-broad label, though. Much like "metal" or "indie" or "pop", it is so broad as to be almost useless.

" I didn't think post rock fans would even come here and plague this page" - What a disgusting, snobby attitude to have. Post-rock is often just modern classical with more rock instrumentation, so of course post-rock fans will listen to this and things like it, that truly is a baffling comment to make. There is some truly inspiring stuff under that massive, overused label so don't just dismiss. Though I don't support the tag for Julia, obviously.

So beautiful! People enjoying Julia you can check out my music here as I feel we're on similar ground - http://connorhattersley.bandcamp.com/ All is wrote, recorded and mixed by myself and my new e.p "Gifts From Apollo" includes 3 soundscapes that have had alot of work and love put into them. You can pay what you like for it and even have it for free, this isn't about money, I'd just like to spread my work. Thanks, be well x

I absolutely love this music. Idlewind caught my attention and I was quite surprised to hear this track when I was watching the news on Arte on the culture part. I heard a few Portishead tracks on occasions too. Obviously, someone there knows what good music is. - I didn't think post rock fans would even come here and plague this page...
