I love his music so much, the album the polyfuze method is one of my favorites that isn’t a metal album. Only kid rock could perfectly blend rock, rap and metal without it sounding like bullshit. He even went into southern rock for a bit for going completely country and just being boring. Why did he forget his rap albums? He was one of the best to come from Detroit.

Kid Rock was doing this as early as 1990 and not sounding stupidly corporatized like most nu metal would become. On Devil Without a Cause he sounds a lot like Rage Against the Machine but their music is serious and not lighthearted and comical like Kid Rock’s is.

So is some songs on cocky but it’s not a majority compared to most of the discography I listen to. His music prior to 1998 which I listen to most was a lot like an acid-rock rap fusion which is not a very explored place musically. It is quite a far cry from nu or alt metal.

I take back trashing Kid Rock. His music in the 90s when he was only a Detroit rapper is quite amazing. Nothing like sitting back and playing Gex on my Sega Saturn at 1 AM listening to the Polyfuze Method. Really feels great and relaxing.

Yeah well I live in rural south-central Kentucky and it has always been a Republican area even hundreds of years ago. I’ve also done internships for my local state congressmen in Frankfort, been to many political rallies and even got a picture with Rand Paul, beat that!

Absolutely, he started to fall off after that however. New Kid Rock isn’t good at all.

"Kid Rock was born Robert James Ritchie in Romeo, Michigan, on January 17, 1971, the son of Susan and William Ritchie, who owned multiple car dealerships. He was raised in his father's 5,628-square-foot (522.9 m2) home on a 6-acre (2.4-hectare) property, where he regularly helped his family pick apples and care for their horses." https://townsquare.media/site/204/files/2018/08/kid-rock-house.jpg?w=1200&h=0&zc=1&s=0&a=t&q=89

I only like Devil Without A Cause. Anyone else in the same boat as me? I never got into anything else, lots of hit or miss.

His albums decline in quality with each release, but I really enjoy Devil, Cocky, and Rebel Soul. New album isn't that good.
