honestly kinda underwhelmed by poppy's feature, as much as i love her. sort of feels like you could just have bryan do the whole thing and nothing substantial would change. poppy thrives in disjointed expressiveness and this being relatively straight-forward mathcore/metalcore doesn't give her much room to do anything interesting imo.

loved the reggae drum break. not something you usually hear on a knocked loose track.

the problem for me was honestly that they don't contrast enough. the mix really crushes the nuance of her vocals. i've watched them do this live though and it was much better, so the principle is good.

That's fair C: You've listened to a lot more Poppy than me anywhos, so I think you'd notice those subtleties (and the lack thereof) than I would, haha! I admittedly like the sound of low dynamic range in music (at least some music!) as well, so it ends up being enough for me, but I think that it would be neat to hear how different mixing/mastering emphasizes contrasts in vocals :]

That section from 0:40 to 0:50 reminds me so much of Converge, and I mean that in the best way possible.
