LABOUM (라붐) is a four-member South Korean girl group formed by and in 2014. The group's name LABOUM means "party" in French, and the agencies say that they will show a new concept that differentiates the girls from the other female idols who take on the sexy concept.The current lineup consists of Soyeon (소연), Jinyea (진예; formerly ZN), Haein (해인), and Solbin (솔빈). Yulhee (율희) left the group on November 3, 2017. Yujeong (유정) left the group on September 8, 2021.

On August 28th, they debuted with their first single album PETIT MACARON. Petit Macaron features three tracks in all, with "두근두근" serving as the promotional track. The song was written by Seo Ji-eum, known for hits such as f(x)'s "Electric Shock". They officially debuted on the same day on M! Countdown. Three months later, they announced a re-release of their first album, titled PETIT MACARON DATA PACK, set to contain new digital tracks and a reworking of the previous title. It was released on November 3.

Their second single album Sugar Sugar, released on August 14, 2015, showcased a more mature and refreshing concept, with a slumber party theme. The single included three songs, including title track "Sugar Sugar".

On November 26, 2015, Laboum uploaded a music video teaser for the comeback single 아로아로 to the group's official YouTube channel. The teaser featured an elegant, yet funky retro style. On December 4, Laboum held a comeback stage for "아로아로 (Aalow Aalow)" on Music Bank. The single album was officially released on December 6.

On April 6, 2016, Laboum released their fourth single album Fresh Adventure with the lead track "상상더하기 (Journey To Atlantis)".

On August 23, 2016, Laboum's first mini album Love Sign was released. The album consists of six tracks, including the lead single "Shooting Love".

On December 2, 2016, Laboum released their winter digital single "겨울동화 (Winter Story)".

On April 17, 2017, their second mini album Miss This Kiss was released with the lead track "Hwi hwi". They took home their first music show win on Music Bank on April 28, 2017, with "Hwi hwi".

On July 25, 2017, Laboum released their summer digital single Laboum Summer Special with lead single "Only U".

On November 3, 2017, NH Media confirmed the departure of Yulhee from the group and terminated her contract.

Jinyea, Yujeong, and Haein appeared on KBS Idol Rebooting Project the Unit, which first aired on October 28, 2017. Jinyea ranked #8 and briefly promoted as a member of the show's winning girl group, UNI.T. She was unable to take part in the group's second and final album, "Begin with the End" due to Laboum's conflicting schedules.

On July 28, 2018, the group released their single Between Us. The title track "체온 Between Us" was produced, composed, and written by member Soyeon. The release signified the change of Laboum's concept as their next Korean releases were more mature.

The group released its debut Japanese single Hwi Hwi on November 7, 2018, under Nippon Columbia.

Laboum's sixth single album I'm Yours was released on December 5, 2018, with the lead single "Turn It On".

On April 24, 2019 Laboum released their first Japanese album Love Pop Wow!!.

Laboum released their first studio album Two of Us with the title track "Firework" on September 19, 2019. The album includes 5 solo songs, sang by each member.

On December 21, 2019 Laboum came out with a rearranged version of their song "상상더하기 (Journey To Atlantis)" as "Fresh Adventure Winter ++ 상상더하기 Winter ++" for Christmas. This was the group's third digital single.

On December 24, 2020, Laboum released their fourth digital single Cheese, which was written and composed by member Soyeon.

In March 2021, the 2016 song "상상더하기 (Journey To Atlantis)" was heavily featured in Hangout with Yoo, a Korean variety show program, causing the song to reappear on Korean music charts and steadily rise in position on several real-time charts. In response, the group resumed promotional activities for the song in June 2021.

On September 8, 2021, the leader of the group Yujeong posted a handwritten letter on Instagram, announcing that she was going to leave the group after her contract expired. She also announced that the rest of the members with Soyeon as their new leader have renewed their contracts, and that Laboum would continue as a quartet. In addition, it was announced that the remaining members has departed from their current agency and signed with Interpark Music Plus, a subsidiary of Interpark.

On November 3, 2021, Laboum released their first mini album under Interpark Music Plus Blossom.

On December 17, 2021, Laboum released their fifth digital single "White Love (스키장에서)", featuring Layone.

In April 2022, member Soyeon passed blind auditions on the Korean show Hangout with Yoo and became a member of the 12-member project female vocal group WSG WANNABE.

On September 23, 2022, it was reported that Laboum were taking an indefinite hiatus from group activities. Since no official statement has come out about the group disbanding it is assumed that the members are going separate ways to grow as individuals before possibly releasing new music as a group. It has also been revealed that the members are very open to doing group activities and that Laboum activities will always be a possibility for them in the future even if they are with different companies.

On November 25, 2022, member Soyeon held her first solo fan meeting, guests included all current Laboum members as well as ex-member Yujeong.
