"Judah Smith Interlude" is a recording of a sermon by Pastor Judah Smith. The sermon touches upon many of the themes of the album, and notably focuses on the difference between love and lust. Love as an ideal that is connected to spirituality and family contrasts sharply with the lyrics of the preceding track "A&W". The juxtaposition between the sermon and the song is more than lyrical and the sonic difference is jarring.
