"The Grants" is Lana Del Rey's opening track, and third single from her ninth studio album, “Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd”.The single was released March 14th, 2023, one month after her second single, "A&W".
The title is a direct tribute to Lana's family, which uses 'Grant' as a family name. On the track, she talks about carrying memories of beloved ones with her after death, and reminiscing of those who already passed away. She also talks about the struggles of the early days of her career, carrying on her family's legacy, and wants to make sure that she will go to Heaven at peace, with aspects of her loved ones reflecting with her.
