"You Must Love Me" is a song by Madonna covered by Lana Del Rey. It was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, for the 1996 film adaptation of the musical, "Evita". Del Rey covered the song as a part of the compilation album Unmasked: The Platinum Collection by "Evita" composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. The cover was released as a promotional single for the compilation on March 5, 2018. It was produced by Rick Nowels.
Del Rey commented: "Andrew Lloyd Webber has been one of my primary inspirations in music, so to do a cover of one of his songs is a dream. I especially love…'You Must Love Me', because of how unique the melody is. I've been incredibly inspired by all of Andrew’s work from 'Phantom of the Opera' to 'Evita'."
