“ILYSB,” standing for “I love you so bad,” is a love song, expressing how physically painful it is to have strong feelings for someone. However, the music video twists the song’s seemingly sweet nature into a dark tale of obsession.

In a note, frontman Paul Klein said of the music video:

"It would have been the least creative, most predictable thing in the world to run thru a field and fly down the PCH in a convertible with the “love of my life” … hand-in-hand, wind-in-hair. i had an opportunity to flip the script, to beautifully blindside the fan and the critic. i turned “ILYSB” into a tragedy of unhealthy obsession and unrequited love that ultimately led to psychotic behavior and total derailment."

The song appears on "Acronyms" EP, "Make Out" EP, and LANY’s self-titled debut album. LANY also released a stripped version of “ILYSB,” featured on the second EP and the Live In Los Angeles music video.

Paul Klein, the lead vocalist, when asked about iTunes classifying their music as “dream-pop”, said:

"Yeah, dreamy is awesome and I think maybe the synths that we use feels really lush and it feels kinda dreamy and dazey and aspirational, so maybe that’s… I mean I can’t remember who called us that first, but I remember reading it and that really resonated with us."

“ILYSB” was certified Gold by the RIAA on May 23rd, 2018.
