This song was written about three years ago according to Lauren and was first performed ever at that time as well. It includes Trey Campbell - who has also creddits on "50ft" - and was produced by Malay - who worked with Lorde for a few tracks on the critically praised Melodrama and has also creddits on "Sorry". Lauren said that this songs is part of something bigger, so there is some fans theories about it being the lead single of her Debut LP highly antecipated for 2023.
On October 28th, Lauren Jauregui released the soulful, stripped-down ballad “Always Love” alongside a nostalgia-tinted video. The reflective track addresses the dissolution of a past public romantic relationship with rapper Ty Dolla $igh.

Of the track, Lauren says, “Always Love is a ballad from my soul. I wrote it after a profound breakup in my life; it was my way of processing the complex emotion that I felt when I knew that I was no longer supposed to be with this person but I truly loved them so much. It was a reflection on the beautiful and not-so-beautiful parts that made our story what it was and a reminder to them and myself that even though it didn’t work, it’s Always Love.”
