Lil Durk reunites with Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty on “Should’ve Ducked.” The two take turns, going verse-for-verse about surviving gang-related conflict.
Moreover, Durk also takes shots at slain fellow Chicago rapper FBG Duck, who was shot and killed outside a Dolce & Gabbana store in the Gold Coast neighborhood in Chicago. He had issues with Durk’s late labelmate King Von, who is pictured on the cover of The Voice and its deluxe version and was also shot and killed in a nightclub in Atlanta. Durk also recalls when FBG Wooski survived being shot in the head at the funeral of fellow rapper Dooski Tha Man.
This song marks their second collaboration. Durk was featured on Shiesty’s November 2020 hit single, “Back in Blood,” from the latter’s commercial mixtape, Shiesty Season, which was released later in February 2021, only one week after this song.
