“Kick It” is the fourth track on Lil Nas X’s debut project, 7 EP. The track is told by the perspective of a fake friend. In fact, the person speaking in the song has heard about Lil Nas X’s new found success and is trying to act like they were there with Nas from the start: as he doesn’t care about them, they become an hater by throwing dirt on his name, his talent and his credibility as an artist.
It was originally previewed on May 2nd on his Instagram with the caption, “WHAT’S Y'ALL TOP 3 SNIPPETS NOW?!”.
