    2006 – present (18 years)

From progressive rock influences like Genesis, Yes, and Phish, to the rock sensibilities of bands like Kansas, Muse, Faith No More and Styx, and a pop infusion of catchy vocals like Simple Minds, The Killers, The Police, Queen, and Foreigner. Lobate Scarp brands themselves as Progressive Space-Opera Rock music.

Formed in 2006, in Los Angeles, California, Lobate Scarp was founded by Adam Sears (Vocals/Keyboard), Dustin Prince (Drums), Adrienne Woods (Cello) and Hoyt Binder (Guitar). The addition of Bassist Andy "Catt" completed the lineup. The latest iteration features Guitarist Nate "The Fish" Olmos. Other guests include Rachel Grace (Violin) and Andrea Whitt (Viola).

Music Connection magazine has stated that “the group Lobate Scarp presents prog rock that hits you right between the eyes” and that their “musical approach deserves industry support and interest.”

Lobate Scarp's Debut album, "Time and Space" was release on 12-12-12 and took 5 years and over 50 musicians to make. In addition to vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, they also recorded Trumpets, Saxophone, Viola, Violin, Cello, Theremin, Glockenspiel, and a 30+ person choir singing in Latin. Alex Acuña (Weather Report) appears as a special guest percussionist in the opening 15-minute track and Rich Mouser (Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Neal Morse) mixed and mastered the album. Steve Leavitt produced and engineered the debut release.
