Supermarket is a book written by Logic under the name Bobby Hall. It was published on March 26, 2019, and this soundtrack was made to accompany the story.

The description of the book states:

"Flynn is stuck—depressed, recently dumped, and living at his mom’s house. The supermarket was supposed to change all that. An ordinary job, routine hours, a steady check. Work isn’t work when it’s saving you from yourself. But things aren’t quite as they seem in these aisles.

Arriving to work one day to a crime scene, Flynn’s world begins to crumble as the secrets of his tortured mind are revealed. And Flynn doesn’t want to go looking for answers at the supermarket, because something there seems to be looking for him.

A darkly funny psychological thriller, Supermarket is a gripping exploration into madness and creativity. Who knew you could find sex, drugs, and murder all in aisle nine?"

This soundtrack differs a lot to some of Logic’s other work. With a lot of singing and strong acoustic and electric guitar elements, the soundtrack fits well into the rock genre, whilst it does have a few rap verses (like on “Pretty Young Girl”). The rock-styled songs fit well with the tone of the subject of his relationships and the project as a ‘soundtrack’ for his book.

The soundtrack was first hinted at during Logic’s Bobby Tarantino vs Everybody Tour during the summer of 2018, where he performed “Pretty Young Girl” for fans in attendance, but it was never officially given a release date prior to dropping on March 26th, 2019.

The book itself was first hinted to on the front cover of Bobby Tarantino back in July 2016, and later appeared on the sequel back in March 2018.
