Flip That is LOONA's sixth release as a whole group. The song was released on 06.20.2022 as the title track of the special summer album 'Flip That', a 6 song album including a rerelease of the group's final Queendom 2 song 'POSE'. Flip that earned the group 2 music show wins, 'The Show' on 06.28.2022 and 'Show Champion' on 06.29.2022. It reached position 93 on the Gaon music chart. At the release of this song, a showcase was performed in which they debuted this song for the first time performing this along with 'Pale Blue Dot', a b-side from the same album.
The song has a summer feel and sings about feeling good and encouraging friends to 'Flip That' and turn around their situation to feel similarly. The music video has a similar positive feeling, as it starts in the train with member Olivia Hye feeling down and left out, member Heejin helps her feel better, and together with the rest of the girls they discover the beautiful areas they are brought to by the train. By dancing together and exploring this new world they are overcoming the hardships they have faced within the LOONAverse and can come together to be happy. By the end of the music Olivia Hye can speak well with the other members and enjoys her time on the train more. Imagery of doors, and bright new places fits well with the meaning and lyrics of the song, flipping a situation and finding a new way or a new perspective to make it brighter.
