The King of the Rockin' Blues Louis King has one of the most entertaining live shows in Australia.
He has impressed audiences both in Australia and our region as well as Europe .

He has been in demand as working Professional Performer in the Business for 30 Years,which alone is testament to his Talents. His songwriting talents have been noted with an ARIA Nomination and cover versions being recorded by major stars here and in the U.S.A. MAGAZINE) BLUES ACCESS - FALL 98 Issue 35 NEW RELEASES HOODOO MAN - LOUIS KING "Rockin'' and Rollin' Aussie combo led by guitar, harp and drums playing vocalist King kicks out the jams on 15 originals (and no guitar wankin' allowed). They don't touch down on Blues turf too often but they're a fun listen". Rhythms Magazine "He just appeared. Rhythms editor Brian Wise played some of King's music on his weekly radio show & promptly proclaimed the CD "good enough to figure at the top of '96's Best Albums List!!" New Orleans based Rockin' Doopsie Jr. has recorded "Sweet Lottie May" taken from 'Hoodoo Man' and was released on his "Everybody Scream" CD.

The year also saw the band play support to legendary acts, Screaming J Hawkins and Buddy Guy as well as having their song "Werewolf Baby" nominated for a A.R.I.A. Award after being covered by Sydney personality Doug Mulray. In 1996 Louis King and combo continued making inroads by playing shows around the country including their first East Coast Blues Festival. With sales of their debut CD still going strong they decided to put off the release of their next album until the following year. Noumea, New Caledonia 2003 Louis King and the Liars Klub released the follow up to their critically acclaimed first release last year. 'Hoodoo Man' has already received rave reviews and national airplay in its first few weeks of release. What started out as a predominantly blues act has now managed to cross over into the mainstream/commercial market because of the broad appeal 'Hoodoo Man' has.

As TV Week's Jeff Jenkins says, "Hoodoo Man will be a favourite with blues aficionados, the cocktail set and people who just love a great groove". With Australia already recognising Louis King and the Liars Klub - King picked up Best New Male Artist at the Australian Blues Music Awards in '97 - the band have started making inroads into the US market, with a recent CD review in 'Blues Revue' and having the song "Lonesome for Long" featured in a forthcoming US movie. Louis's 3rd CD "Sharp Like A Bowling Ball" was released in early March 2003 and contained 10 new original tracks with a stated aim of making the "blues party album of the year". 2005 Saw the release of "Sharp like a Bowlin ball" 2006 dec 8th the new Louis King Disc Standin in the Sun is released "Standin in the sun" Is louis's 4th release due December 2006 and is a tribute in song,to his heroes ,the great performers of the Sun Studio's in Memphis. Louis King is a dynamic stage performer who has been described as "The greatest front man since Ghengis Kahn"(Melb Sun Herald) and as "coming out on stage Like a Haggis from Hell"(Bris.on the street) King has performed at most of the biggest festivals in the Australia, Europe and The Pacific as well as being chosen to open for Screamin jay Hawkins,Buddy Guy ,B.B. Kingand Jimmie Vaughan in Australia. He returns to Europe this april for more barnstorming shows. One taste of his live show will leave you in no doubt as to why.
