Luther Vandross' "Never Too Much" is his first solo project. It was released in 1979 and the title track skyrocketed up the R&B charts.
Although Vandross had sang back up for some of the music industries giants, his voice became popular after singing TV commercial jingles. He sang lead in a band called Change and even appeared on Sesame Street.
His debut project shot him to superstardom in what seemed like over night… but this velvety voice had been around for a while.
His following projects, such as Any Love, Busy Body, Forever For Always For Love, Give Me A Reason, showcased his talent.
