MIAVA (previously named 'Maria Isn't a Virgin Anymore', and now renamed to 'Comet Street') was an instrumental stoner rock act from Belgium.
In 2010 they recorded and released a self-titled EP containing 5 songs, through 195 Studios. After playing a lot of live shows, they started recording their second EP, The Fall of Public Man, which gave the band considerable popularity. This EP was recorded in CCR Studios Zulte.
In September 2013, they released their first full album, Essay On Bentham, through Rough Trade Records.
In February 2016, MIAVA went on hiatus following the tragic death of their drummer, Jelle Tommelyn. Some months later, they announced it would feel wrong to play MIAVA without him, and formed a new band, Comet Street, named after the street in which they rehearsed as MIAVA.
In 2019, MIAVA returned having found a new drummer.
