"Everything" is a 1997 song by R&B singer Mary J. Blige. Written and produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, it was released as the third single from Blige's third album, Share My World.
The song features samples of You Are Everything by The Stylistics and "The Payback " by James Brown. It also includes vocal re-interpolations of Sukiyaki by 坂本九.
Released on October 21, 1997, the song reached number twenty-four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number five on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It also peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Blige's first top ten hit in the UK.
The music video was directed by Hype Williams and shot on location in Maui, Hawaii.
The 'So So Def' remix of "Everything" was produced by Jermaine Dupri and features a sample of Call Me D-Nice.
