Mittagspause was an influential pre-punk band from Düsseldorf, Germany. The band was formerly existent as Charley's girls with a slightly different line up (?). Mittagspause released a selftitled 2x7inch, a further 7inch called "Paff" and a live LP called "Punk macht dicken Arsch". The studio recordings have been reissued on a CD.
Mittagspause influenced the german punk scene in Germany during their short time of existence and turned then into Fehlfarben which became one of the most prominent bands of the so called "Neue Deutsche Welle", NDW.
