“american jesus” is the second single for Nessa Barrett’s upcoming EP, set for release in June 2023. It’s a sultry and unapologetic anthem that showcases the artist’s vocals against a thrumming guitar and pulsing bass.
In the track, Barrett sings about the fantasy of being saved by someone, while giving references to the Bible, Jesus and American symbols.
