"Chi-Raq" is a song by Nicki Minaj & G Herbo/Lil Herb. The track was released in 2014 as a 'hype' single on Minaj's soundcloud, in anticipation of her third studio album: The Pinkprint, though was not included on the actual album. The lyrics are fierce and angry as 'Chiraq' is a slang term for Chicago; one of the most violent cities in the United States with high rates of homicide and gang wars. Because of this, the song received many remixes and covers by Chicago rappers, notable ones including Meek Mill and Young M.A.
The track was made available on iTunes and streaming platforms in 2021, as part of the re-release of Minaj's 2009 mixtape: Beam Me Up Scotty.
