Such ugly verses. You can tell he knows no more than surface level about these issues, and he baitclicks us into listening until he reveals what the real issue for him (fudge rounds) really is. And that's such an ugly stance to take on a song, especially because he cheats us by titling the song Rich Men when that's not what I think he's talking about here.

Lol, a song about how the rich are screwing over the poor is right wing? What happened to the left man.

Welfare is good in a good system, but it has turned into a way for corporations and politicians to hide their agendas by claiming to be 'good'. Instead of holding corporations accountable for their genuine corruption, the government is doing damage control by trying to stem the bleeding on the bottom end. There's no hope and no chances in many places. Education is devolving, infrastructure is crumbling, societies are losing trust, and globalist capitalism is making it hard for the working class to compete and negotiate for proper working conditions and fair wages. Welfare is nowhere near going to fix that, and if you're dying on the welfare hill, you're essentially accepting bribes from the government-corporate-complex to ignore their crimes. A good system has limited welfare to catch those who need it, in order to fix their life and lift them up. It should never have as its goal a permanent underclass who need to grovel to survive. That's called serfdom.

i don't get it, the messages expressed all sound pretty universal (except the welfare one or the one about obese people) . even with those however i wouldn't expect there to be such backlash. the singer is american- the country kind- isn't that the norm for most of usa? as a commie i approve this song, it sounds pretty good.

it's a song about inequality, poor quality of life and misdirected (as well as properly directed) spite written by an imperfect ,and from i've read about him, strong headed, uneducated american. when consuming anything (in this case a song) you need to understand the place it's coming from, select what you could derive from it and keep only what pleases you. if you live in the usa and are a leftie i understand you probably need to seek politically charged discourse that's stimulating like it's gold but i don't think this is the place. also it's a pretty good track move on.

It's going number one in the USA, where right-wing pundits managed to turn Red America (a massive part of the population) to buy it and stream it. We just have to accept that this is gonna happen more and more often cause there is an audience for this.

Fuck the full power of "red America" because they've already betrayed this man for calling America a melting pot. It's a paid for number one

he was featured a lot with daily wire commentators who are funded by oil billionaires. Artists buying copies of their own music to boost chart positions is not new, but considering his twitter account only dates back to a few months, it seems oddly suspicious that his of all songs would start picking up steam after being featured in a media network with owners that throw millions of dollars in campaign donations like it's pocket change. One of the ex co-hosts, Steven Crowder complained that his 50 million contract was too low lol. I'm sure these bozos could afford to payola a song to #1 more than a single artist could
